Dr. Rada Higgins is one of the seven Black mathematicians to have earned a PhD in mathematics from The Ohio State University. She graduated in 1974.

Dr. Higgins' dissertation focused on the limits, or end behaviors, of series and sequences. Dr. Higgins has also been interested in creating materials for students to learn mathematics and other subjects at home.
